The studio opens its doors. Work in progress, completed paintings, the raw fact of where painting happens.
These are not openings. There's no white wine, no press kit, no careful arrangement of finished work under gallery light. This is the studio mid-process, paint on the floor, large-scale canvases in varying states of completion, the particular smell and weight of a working space.
Friday evenings run alongside Provincetown's gallery stroll season, starting Memorial Day weekend and running through November, well past the point where galleries close for the year. The studio is a beachside working environment. What you see is what's actually happening.
Conversation with the artist is available and welcome, but not performed. If the work is talking, we let it. If you want to ask about process, materials, the series, ask.
